HARBORNE STREET
Man cave vs Granny flat.
Based on some of our previous work, we were engaged to construct a large multi-purpose garage in the rear garden that could be future-proofed to be used as a granny flat should they wish to in the future.
Being a character home, the owners wanted the garage to be in line with the home’s look, so they went with a traditional red brick but also wanted to incorporate timber windows.
However, from the laneway, the garage has a modern look thanks to its lightly rendered exterior.
Electric roller doors on both sides and a first-floor mezzanine offer extra storage in the garage roof.
Inside has an industrial style finish with exposed brick, concrete floors, and exposed roof timbers, making it the ideal space for hobbies, tinkering, crafting, and escaping for some quiet time.
