CREATING AN OPEN PLAN SPACE FOR FAMILY.

These clients (our neighbours) approached us to undertake an extension/renovation project on their home. The main brief being to create a large open plan living space, encompassing a living, dining, kitchen area where the family could gather and entertain, whilst also freeing up existing rooms so that the family could peruse their personal hobbies.

It was decided from the outset that the new extension would be very modern with an architecturally finished polished concrete floor, high raked ceilings with shadow lines, large windows and doors, including two opening Velux windows to let in as much light and breeze as possible.

The kitchen has been fitted out with bespoke cabinetry and the mix of colours, materials and finishes choosen by the client really make this a beautiful area of the home. The existing bathroom was also given a makeover and a Velux window was added to give extra light into this room and allow star gazing when taking an evening bath.
